I was watching a show on TV - Parental Guidance - and they were talking about kids and mental health. And then they said something that stopped me in my tracks:
Some children as young as five were taking their own lives.
Five.
I just sat there, thinking, how is this even possible?
What kind of pain are these little ones carrying that no one sees?
It shook me.
And something in me said, "I have to do something."
I can't fix everything. I'm not a professional.
But I can write.
I can create something gentle. I can leave a thread - soft, simple, and strong - for any young person who needs to feel held.
I may not know their stories. But I know what it's like to break quietly.
And I believe with all my heart that even the smallest reminder - You're not alone - can make all the difference.
That's why The Thread exists.
To be that reminder.
To wrap around the ones who need it most.
Even if they never say a word. 💛
